The Adventures of Lal Singh

This Cryptic Publications booklet reprints obscure stories written by Robert E. Howard. There came a time when so many "obscure" Howard stories were being discovered and published by fanzines that I was beginning to suspect a rogue writer or two were turning them out. But I have never heard a word that this was so. So I guess they are legit.
I received an email once from a woman who was a Howard fan and wanted to buy all the Howard fanzines published by Price's Cryptic Publications. But they were all out of print, very hard to find, and if you did locate one the price was likely to be excessive. So she asked me if I had all those issues, and if I did, would I make copies for her. But she only wanted the Howard stories, so if any issue contained stories by other authors I would not have to copy them. She offered to pay me a reasonable sum to do it.
Well, I ended up spending a week of evenings scanning the Howard stories and poems in my copies of the booklets that contained stories by Howard, which are 5 x 8 in size. I enlarged the pages to 8.5 by 11, and with my computer was able to restore all the printing faults in the scanned copies. I also scanned all the cover art as well as all the interior art related to the Howard stories. I then created a contents page with titles of all the stories and poems, as well as a credit page showing all the original publication data. I then spent another week of evenings printing all the pages, putting them in book form and finally enclosing them between covers. When I was done, it was such a unique one-of-a-kind book, I hated to part with it. But, a deal is a deal.
I have no idea why I went through all that trouble!
